NSV Players
NSV which is the format that we use to show our streams has many players that can be used on different formats. The most common one which we use and is used by most of our members is winamp which is used on the windows pc and is available to download below in our all in one installation exe file to set up everything that needs setting up to view our streams. Also players for use on Unix, Linux, Mac and Xbox can also be found HERE.
Subscription
To watch our streams and be guaranteed/reserved a slot on our server u have to sign up for one of our ppv packages HERE. Please note that if you dont sign up to one of our ppv packages then when entering the live streams forum you will only see the message private and if u enter one of our channels it will say there have been no posts in the last 30days in this forum. If you have any queries then please contact stream master via pm (personal message) by clicking on the name and you will be presented with the pm option.
How To Log Into And Watch The Live Streams
First of all go into the forum marked/named LIVE STREAMS. Then you look on the right hand side of the page and you will see a smiley icon with text next to it stating what is being shown on each particular stream. You then click on this text and this will progress you to the TV and Sport Streams PPV Authorization Login Service, here you just enter your username and password in the designated area and then click LOGIN, winamp should then start to buffer and the stream should start when winamp buffer reaches 100%.
Browser
We here at Tv and Sport Streams recommend that all of our users use Mozilla Firefox which can be downloaded HERE(Just choose your desired language). We recommend this as it is the easiest way to open our live streams in winamp. Although this is not absolutely necessary if you encounter problems with our streams and you havnt got this installed then make that the first thing that you do.
Streams, Speed, Ram & Bandwith
Our streams vary with the kbps that they run at, they can vary from 200kbps to 550kbps. These speeds depend on the streamers upload and tv capture card. The speed of each stream is located on the text line next to the smiley icon along eith what the stream is showing. To watch our streams you need to have an internet connection with at least the same speed as the stream although a bigger internet connection is recommended. Also the more memory (RAM) you have the better. Please also make sure that you are not downloading and/or uploading anything while trying to access the streams.
WLAN/WI-FI
If you are on a wireless network and you wish to watch our streams then you MUST have a strong signal. We recommend that you not to be on a wireless network and please be aware also that more than one pc on your broadband connection can cause problems and stop you from fully enjoying our service unless you have a VERY fast connection.
Calendar
For a list of scheduled events on our site we have a calendar which is located HERE or with the button that says calendar at the top of the page, please ensure to check this before making any sort of request also check out the section SCHEDULES-NO REQUESTING.

Buffering Issues/Streaming Problems
For those users that have buffering/stream problems please try doing this:
Every day try to delete all the files from the temporary folders(temp & temp
internet files) & and for mozilla also go to tools->options->Privacy->clear
all. In your windows system32 folder arrange all the files by modified so in
case there is a virus you could find it much quicker. And finally there is no
need to use all of these spyware programs. The only things we would recommend is
to use Avg and Counter Spy(it is 15 day trial but u can get it for $19.95). They
get the job done. Just when you watch the streams makes sure you shut them down
and as many other programs as possible on the task bar.
Also some users experience huge amounts of buffering and it is known that if your modem is connected through a USB 1.1 then you should try consider trying to connect through Ethernet as this has been known to reduce buffering by 80%.
Also on your pc if you go to Start > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > Disk Cleanup you will be able to clean up all un-needed files on your pc from your temporary internet files to your recycle bin.
H264 Video Codec
Here at TV&SS we use the H264 codec on all of our streams, to watch our streams using this codec please download the following zip file and save it onto your pc.
After downloading, unzip and then double click on the exe file and follow on screen instructions which will be either to click Next, ok or Install. After doing this everything will be installed and configured to watch our streams.
So then after installing go to our live streams section and input your username and password in the relevant boxes then view stream and you will then be experiencing and enjoying the best sports that the internet can bring and all brought to you by TaSS.
PLEASE NOTE: MAKE SURE YOU HAVE ALSO CHANGED YOUR BUFFER SETTINGS TO THE ONES IN THE FAQ AND HELP FORUM
Here's how to record Shoutcast streams using the command-line version of Stream Ripper, made a little easier with a DOS batch file. You can record things right away, or schedule a recording to start & stop later. This is to be used for time-shifting or other fair-use purposes, it is not to be used for copyright breach or circumnavigating protective measures.
These instuctions assume you're running Windows XP, other versions will probably work fine. This script and these directions are unsupported, if you need help, ask your friends.
First you need the command line version of StreamRipper. Go to HERE and get the top listing, it'll be called something like sripper-1.xx.xx.exe. Then save that file into "C:\Program Files" and call it "sripper.exe".
Get the DOS batch file HERE Right-click and "save as" to the desktop or wherever you'd like. Change the end of the filename from ".txt" to ".bat"
Double click on the batch file. It will first ask you the URL of the station
to record. This does not end in ".m3u"! To get the URL of the station, play it
in winamp, and then hit "Alt-3", it will be shown on the top. If you need more
help try these instructions.
Then it will ask you when to start recording (hit enter to start recording right
away) and the length of time to record in minutes (hit enter for "forever"-
closing the window will end recording)
It will create a folder on the desktop. Depending on how the station streams,
everything may be in a folder called "incomplete". That's OK.
You can listen to what's being recorded by putting the follwing URL into winamp (press control-L to open the URL entry window): http://localhost:8000.
You can run this many times at once and record many different stations at once.
Scheduling Repeating Recording
If you know you want to record the same thing on a regular basis-
go to Start Menu->All Programs->Accessories->System Tools->Scheduled Tasks
Double click "Add Scheduled Task"
Click Next, and when it asks to click the program to run, click "Browse", go to
"c:\Program Files", double click on "sripper.exe"
On the next window, change the name to something you'll recognize, like
"Afternoon Talkshow" or "Night Music", and choose how often the recording should
happen.
Next window asks exactly when to start recording, tell it, click Next.
Enter username and password.
On the next window, check the box that says "Open advanced properties for this
task"
In the box after "Run:" add the following after "C:\Program Files\sripper.exe":
http://XXXX -l NNNN -a -r 8001 -t -d
"C:\Documents and Settings\All Users.WINNT\Desktop"
all on one line, and replace
http://XXXX with the URL of the station you
want to record, and NNNN with the number of SECONDS to record. 3600=1 hour
If you want the computer to turn itself on to start the recording, go to the
"Settings" tab and check "Wake the computer to run this task."
If you want to listen to this timer recording while it's recording, enter this URL into winamp: http://localhost:8001
*PLEASE NOTE* If anybody experiences any problems with this, please post ur problem/question in the help forum which is located HERE
